| Abstract |
Complex diseases arise from abnormal microscopic gene expression that disrupts cellular regulatory functions, ultimately leading to tissue pathology. To advance fundamental sciences research and address global health challenges, it is essential to conduct quantitative analyses across microscopic, mesoscopic, and macroscopic scales.
The emerging concept of the digital twin cell leverages artificial intelligence to simulate cellular processes at both molecular profiles and micro-environments. This innovative approach enables predictive simulations of cellular state transitions by establishing relationships between molecular signatures, functional phenotypes, and response pathways, providing unprecedented insights into cellular decision-making processes. |
